Terms of sale

These terms govern the sale of Taxi Club concierge subscriptions to consumers in France.

1. Object

These terms of sale (the 'Terms') apply to any subscription to the Taxi Club concierge service ordered through taxis.club. By subscribing, the customer expressly accepts the Terms as a binding contract between them and Vodalis Ltd ('Taxi Club', 'we', 'us').

2. Service purchased

The customer subscribes to a booking-assistance service operated by a human concierge. Taxi Club coordinates licensed taxi drivers across France on the customer's behalf. Taxi Club does not operate taxis, does not employ drivers and does not sell transport services. The ride itself is paid directly to the driver, on board.

3. Eligibility

The customer must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. If subscribing on behalf of a company, the customer warrants having the authority to do so.

4. Price

The subscription is billed €0.10 (activation, fully refundable during the trial period), then €39 per month thereafter. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes (VAT included). The taxi ride is a separate service, not included in the Taxi Club subscription.

5. Payment

Payments are processed by Trustpayment, our European payment provider. Accepted means of payment: Visa, Mastercard. Card data is encrypted and never stored in plain text on Taxi Club servers.

6. Bank statement

The Taxi Club subscription charge appears on the customer's bank statement under the descriptor 'TAXI CLUB' (or a variant depending on the bank's display format). See the 'Bank statement information' section for details.

7. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with European consumer law, the €0.10 activation fee is fully refundable on request during the trial period. After the trial, the subscription continues at €39/month with no commitment.

8. Cancellation

The subscription may be cancelled at any time from the customer area, by email at aide@taxis.club or by phone. Cancellation is immediate. No cancellation fees apply. The current month already started remains due (no prorata refund).

9. Liability

Taxi Club provides a best-effort booking service. We do not guarantee the availability of a driver in all circumstances (extreme weather, major local events). In the event of unavailability, no monthly charge applies for the missed period and the activation remains refundable.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Irish law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be brought before the competent courts of Ireland.

11. Updates

We may update these Terms from time to time. Customers will be notified by email before any material change takes effect.

Terms of service

These terms govern the use of the Taxi Club concierge service.

1. Scope

These terms of service describe how the Taxi Club concierge service is delivered to subscribers. They complement the Terms of sale, which govern the commercial relationship.

2. What's included

An active Taxi Club subscription gives the customer access to: a 24/7 human concierge reachable by phone, email and through the customer area; unlimited taxi booking requests across France; SMS confirmation in 2 to 5 minutes; driver assignment handled by Taxi Club; access to the customer area to manage bookings and invoices; multilingual support in the 13 supported languages.

3. How a booking works

The customer submits a booking through taxis.club or by contacting the concierge. Taxi Club contacts licensed taxi partners and confirms a driver. The customer receives an SMS with the driver's name, vehicle and ETA. The ride is performed by the driver; the fare is paid directly to the driver on board.

4. Acceptable use

The service may only be used for legitimate personal or professional taxi booking needs. The customer agrees not to misuse the service (e.g. abusive cancellations, fraudulent bookings, harassment of drivers or staff). Taxi Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account engaging in abusive behaviour.

5. Customer area access

Access to the customer area is granted via a secure email link, no password required. The customer is responsible for the security of their email account. Any booking made from a customer's account is deemed authorised by them.

6. Driver and ride

Taxi drivers are independent licensed professionals, not employees of Taxi Club. Taxi Club's role ends when the driver takes over the ride. The taxi company and driver remain solely responsible for the ride itself, in accordance with local regulations.

7. Availability

The service is available 24/7. Brief maintenance windows may occur and will be announced in advance whenever possible.

8. Suspension and termination

Taxi Club may suspend or terminate access to the service in case of breach of these terms, non-payment of the subscription, or abusive behaviour. The customer may cancel their subscription at any time from the customer area.

9. Updates

These terms may evolve as the service evolves. Customers will be informed of material changes by email.

Subscription policy

How the Taxi Club subscription works — activation, billing, cancellation and refunds.

1. Activation

Subscribing to Taxi Club starts with a €0.10 activation fee. This small amount authenticates the card with the customer's bank and activates the concierge service. The €0.10 is fully refundable on request during the trial period.

2. Monthly billing

After the trial period, the subscription continues automatically at €39 per month, billed on the same date each month, until cancellation. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.

3. Cancellation

The subscription may be cancelled at any time from the customer area, by email at aide@taxis.club, or by phone. Cancellation is immediate. No cancellation fees.

4. Started month

When cancellation occurs mid-month, the month already started remains due in full. No prorata refund is issued. Access to the service continues until the end of the billing period.

5. Refund of the €0.10 activation

The €0.10 activation fee is refunded automatically on request during the trial period, by emailing aide@taxis.club. After the trial period, the activation fee is no longer refundable.

6. Invoices

An electronic invoice is issued automatically after each charge and stored in the customer area. Invoices are available for download anytime for expense reports.

7. Service availability

If Taxi Club cannot deliver the service for technical or operational reasons over an extended period, the customer is entitled to a credit or refund equivalent to the unused portion of the subscription.

Privacy policy

How Taxi Club collects, uses and protects your personal data — in line with the GDPR.

1. Data controller

Vodalis Ltd, operating taxis.club, is the data controller. Contact: aide@taxis.club.

2. Data collected

Taxi Club collects the personal data the customer provides when booking and subscribing: name, email, phone number, pickup and destination addresses, time and number of passengers, and payment details (handled by Trustpayment, never stored in plain text on our servers).

3. Purpose of processing

Customer data is processed strictly to: coordinate the taxi booking with licensed partner drivers; confirm rides by SMS; manage the subscription, invoicing and customer area; provide support; comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of the contract (booking and subscription), the customer's consent (for optional cookies or marketing communications), and legal obligations (accounting, anti-fraud).

5. Data retention

Booking data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship plus the legal retention period required for accounting and tax purposes (typically 10 years for invoices). Marketing data, if any, is kept until the customer withdraws their consent.

6. Data sharing

Booking details (pickup, destination, passenger phone) are shared with the licensed partner taxi driver assigned to the ride, strictly for the purpose of performing the ride. Payment data is processed by Trustpayment. Taxi Club never sells personal data.

7. International transfers

Personal data is stored within the European Economic Area. If any data needs to be transferred outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses) are put in place.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

Customers have the right to access, rectify, erase or port their personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests can be made at aide@taxis.club; we respond within one month.

9. Security

Taxi Club implements technical and organisational measures (encryption, access controls, regular audits) to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration or loss.

Cookies

How Taxi Club uses cookies and similar technologies on taxis.club.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on the customer's device when visiting a website. Cookies help the website remember information about the visit and improve the user experience.

2. Cookies we use

Taxi Club uses three categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies (required for the site to function — booking flow, secure login link, language preference); analytics cookies (anonymous usage statistics to improve the service); preference cookies (remember the customer's choices, e.g. language).

3. Marketing cookies

Taxi Club does not use marketing cookies for ad targeting at this time. Should this change, customers will be notified and consent will be requested before activation.

4. Consent

Strictly necessary cookies are activated by default. Other categories are activated only after the customer's explicit consent through the cookie banner displayed on the first visit.

5. Managing cookies

Cookie preferences can be updated at any time via the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer. Cookies can also be blocked or deleted directly from the browser settings; however, disabling necessary cookies may break essential features of taxis.club.

6. Third-party cookies

Payments are processed by Trustpayment, which may place cookies during the payment flow strictly for fraud prevention. These cookies are governed by Trustpayment's own privacy policy.

Service statement

What Taxi Club is — and what it is not.

1. What Taxi Club is

Taxi Club is a booking-assistance service operated by a human concierge. We coordinate licensed taxi drivers across France on the customer's behalf, confirm the ride by SMS within 2 to 5 minutes, and remain available 24/7 to handle changes, delays or any operational question.

2. What Taxi Club is not

Taxi Club is not a ride-hailing app, not a marketplace, not a price comparator. We do not employ drivers, do not operate vehicles, and do not sell transport services.

3. Who provides the ride

The taxi ride is performed by a licensed independent taxi driver, partner of our network, at the local taxi rate displayed on the meter. The fare is paid directly to the driver, on board, by the customer.

4. What Taxi Club bills

Taxi Club only bills the concierge subscription: €0.10 (refundable activation), then €39 per month, with no commitment. Cancellation is immediate, at any time, from the customer area.

5. Coverage

Taxi Club operates in every major French city. The concierge is available 24/7 in the 13 supported languages.

6. Operator

Taxi Club is operated by Vodalis Ltd, registered in Ireland. For any question, contact us at aide@taxis.club or by phone — our concierge team responds 24/7.

Bank statement information

What appears on your bank statement when you subscribe to Taxi Club.

1. The descriptor on your statement

Every Taxi Club subscription charge appears on the customer's bank statement under the descriptor 'TAXI CLUB' (or 'TAXICLUB' / 'TC*TAXICLUB', depending on the bank's display format). The descriptor is the same for the €0.10 activation and for the recurring €39 monthly charge.

2. Why this descriptor?

When a payment is made online, the bank displays a payment descriptor that identifies the merchant or its payment processor. 'TAXI CLUB' is the descriptor used by our payment provider Trustpayment to indicate a Taxi Club subscription transaction.

3. What is being charged

Taxi Club only charges for the concierge subscription. We never charge for the taxi ride itself — the fare is always paid directly to the driver, on board. If the customer sees a Taxi Club charge, it relates exclusively to the subscription, not to a specific ride.

4. Recognising a Taxi Club charge

If a Taxi Club charge appears that the customer does not recognise, useful checks include: verifying whether someone in the household subscribed; checking whether the customer recently booked a taxi through taxis.club; reviewing emails from aide@taxis.club confirming the subscription.

5. How to dispute a charge

For any unrecognised or incorrect charge, the customer should contact our concierge first at aide@taxis.club — most issues are resolved within hours. We can refund the €0.10 activation during the trial period, or any erroneous monthly billing on request. If the issue remains unresolved, the customer may contact their bank to dispute the charge.

6. Cancelling future charges

To stop future Taxi Club charges, the customer can cancel the subscription at any time from the customer area, by email or by phone. Cancellation is immediate; no further monthly charge will be made after the cancelled period.
